JP Johann ( Jan ) Friedrich Berggrün joined his brother's Karl and Mateus Eduard and became a teacher, docent, cantor, and organist. He married JP Apollonia Helene Berggrün born Schottling at the ev. reformed church in Birzai/ Lithuania in 1823. The family settled in the dreamy town of Papilys, south of Birzai.
The town has the oldest evangelical reformed church in Lithuania where Johann Berggrün worked and served the community. Even so, Papilys was small and sleepy, according to the church records Apollonia and Johann had a busy social life and were very much involved in the church.

2. Wilhemina Emilia Berggrün born 1827 in Papilys, baptized on Feb. 6, 1827 at the evangelical reformed church in Papilys.
3. Paulina Berggrün born 1828 in Papilys, baptized Nov. 25, 1828 at the evangelical reformed church in Papilys.
4. Adam Alexander Berggrün born 1831 in Papilys, baptized Jan. 22, 1831 at the evangelical reformed church in Papilys.
5. Reinhold Alexander Berggrün born March 21, 1833 in Papilys, baptized April 9, 1833 at the evangelical reformed church in Papilys.
6. Romuald Alexander Berggrün born Feb. 6, 1835 in Papilys, baptized Feb. 17, 1835 at the evangelical reformed church in Papilys.
All their children received education. Frederika Eufrosina became the second wife of Kazimieras Kristupas Daukša after his first wife, her cousin Maria Frederika Berggrün, passed away. Frederika Eufrosina and K.K. Dauksa had two children Adolf born 1844 and Emilia Wilhelmina born 1847. Both died during childhood.
Today, almost two hundred years later the descendants of the teacher of Papilys migrated to all part of the world. Krys lives in Australia, Ania in Ireland, Andreas in Germany, Karolina and Artur in Polen.
